8 Ways to Eat Healthy

Make healthy choices about the foods you eat and the beverages you drink. Simply follow our goals for healthy eating and watch your plate (and what you put on it) transform for the better. Plus, you will feel good and have energy to do the activities you enjoy.

Explore these tips for eating well:

  1. Make half your plate fruits and vegetables.
  2. Make half the grains you eat whole grains.
  3. Choose fat-free or low-fat (1%) milk, yogurt, or cheese.
  4. Drink water instead of sugary drinks.
  5. Choose lean sources of protein.
  6. Compare sodium in foods like soup and frozen meals and choose foods with less sodium.
  7. Eat some seafood.

Chicken in Ginger Carrot Sauce

Last night, I was looking around for something yummy, quick and easy to prepare but with all my favorite foods. My find leads me to BodyRock. Zuzana and Freddy always have new and exciting recipes available for anyone just starting out in cooking or just looking for ‘that jazz’ at dinner time.

What is so easy about this recipe?

You can pop down to the local store and just pick up the ginger, carrots and the chicken broth in under 10 minutes and have it severed within 2o minutes. Overall 30 minutes of prep time including the transit time and there’s left overs for the next night – just add some rice and BAM your done.

It’s really super easy to make, so don’t feel intimidated and give it a try at home even if it’s your first time cooking.
